Cancellation Policy

  • Parties of 10 + or more require a credit card guarantee in order to secure the reservation. You will receive a text with a link through Yelp to enter your credit card number. This must be completed within 48 hours of receiving the text.

  • If the reservation is canceled with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged $100.00.

  • The final head count of your party will be confirmed 24 hours before your event.  If you have fewer guests than the confirmed number, there will be a charge of $35.00 per open chair.

  • We hold your reservation for 15 minutes and request that your entire party be present at that time.

  • Parties of 15 or more require a Group Dining menu to be selected at least 48 hours prior to the event.

  • All food and beverage will be on one tab and payable with a maximum of 2 payment methods and a 20% service charge will be included.

  • Our corkage fee is $20.00 per bottle and will be waived when you support our wine program.  We do allow special desserts to be brought in for your party at a $2.00 per person charge

Oyo is looking for a Chef de Cuisine


Job Description:

Work along side Executive Chef/Owner of East Bay, upscale, casual, high volume, South American fare establishment. Successful candidates will possess a minimum of 3 years experience in similar, high volume setting including:


  • Excellent leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure environment

  • Training/managing/assisting up to 15 staff

  • Opening and closing kitchen

  • Enforcing best practices for safety and sanitation at all times

  • Strong line cook skills preparing a variety of meat, poultry, seafood and vegetables by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment

  • Preparing mother sauces from recipe

  • Ensuring food meets the highest standards including handling, storing, and rotating products properly

  • Managing (or Familiar with?) inventories, stocktaking and placing orders

  • Communicating feedback from restaurant staff and patrons to make improvements/resolve issues

  • Performing other duties as assigned by Executive Chef/Owner

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Culinary school diploma an advantage

  • Approximately 60 hours per week
